The Tiger Shroff and Nidhhi Agerwal starrer ‘Munna Michael’ which released this Friday, the 21st of July, along with some good movies like Lipstick under my Burkha and Dunkirk, managed to keep up on box office earnings by a smooth collection of Rs. 12.80 crore on day two. However unlike expectations, the movie failed to create the impact as promised.
Definitely the Tiger Shroff fan club will be glad to know that his dance moves were totally charismatic and gets those ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the audience and his martial arts skills were to die for. But that did not save the movie from being a total mess.
The director-actor duo : Sabbir Khan and Tiger Shroff have together given the hits ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’ but Munna Michael failed to maintain the level set by the former mentioned movies. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the main antagonist of the movie and has indeed made the movie watchable to a certain extent, but there are many things which could have been better from his part as well.
Makes the movie great :
* Tiger Shroff has proved himself to be the best dancer in bollywood’s younger generation and gets the totally deserved attention of his audience for his professional kicks and backflips.
* The idea of a much feared Don learning to shake his hips on beat in 30 days with some good comic punches by Nawaz himself was definitely a mood lifter.
Could have been better :
*Tiger Shroff is already famous for his dance and action skills. It is time he does comething different to keep his audience glued to the movie uptill the end.
* The plot looks like a combination of ideas taken from movies like R… Rajkumar and Student of the Year to infuse the bromance between Tiger and Nawaz. It could have been a bit different for the required essence.
