Gen-X designer Masaba Gupta, who has a special connection with the Lakme Fashion Week , returned to the platform where it all began.The youngest and most commercially successful designer, whose career has been dotted with major milestones ,made her debut at the Lakme Fashion Week in 2009 and was awarded the most promising designer award.
Masaba Gupta today presented her collection “Masaba for Himalayan” at the The Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 .
A pioneer of moderning the traditional, Masaba’s latest collection is a perfect pick for the millennial bride.The line centres around progressive Indian wear, with the fluidity and the timelessness of the glistening & pure Himalayan river, which serves as an inspiration for the silhouettes.
Says Masaba, “The nonchalance of the Madagascar tribes and the mystique of the Himalayan orchards have been a major inspiration behind the collection. The idea with Masaba for Himalayan was to give tradition an unconventional upgrade, much like the rest of the designs from House of Masaba”.
